THE HISTORY OF THE SCHOOL

The Foundation stone of SMCS was laid by His Excellency Rt. Rev. Bishop Dr. Patrick Nair, Bishop of Meerut in the year of the Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, the 15th July of 1995 during the glorious reign of Pope John Paul II as the Supreme Pontiff of the Catholic Church.

The school is headed by Mr. John Vianney Sharma, the Founder Manager who has a very vast expereince of 30 yrs of teaching and administrative field in various schools and institutions of high repute and glory like St. Xavier's School of Kanpur. Ingraham Institute, Ghaziabad, St. Anthony's Schook, Paharganj, Delhi, Delhi United Christian Sr. Sec. School Delhi and Green Fields Public Sr. Sec. School Delhi.
He is the guiding light and the moving spirit behind the rapid growth and progress of the school. The chief architect of its success story, Mr. John Vianney Sharma has been steering the destiny of the school since July 1995.

Since the school was opened there have been significant changes both in the local area & in terms of the School itself.
The school has had a history of being significantly oversubscribed in that it attracts students not only from its close by areas but also from far situated places.

SMCS is an unaided ,composite ,co-educational Christmas minority school. It operates under the direction and control of St. Mary’s Educational and Charitable society. Founded by Dr. Patrick Nair,Bishop on 15th July,1995. Our Partners are:- Nurture (child Development Centre) Nurture (Integrated Curriculum) Nurture (Middle ) Edu-Sports (Holistic Education Through Sports) 2.Origin SMCS was started with sole aim in mind to ensure that children recognize the strength of their own ethos and buildup life and characters on those mission. Teaching = Activity based and comprehensive evaluation. Summative and formative aspects of child personality are enhanced and groomed. SMCS attempts to promote development of understanding of basics, sharpening of thinking abilities and experimenting and exploring the child.
